Dave Brett fell in love with soccer growing up in New York City in the 1970s. He was a fan of the New York Cosmos of the North American Soccer League (NASL). Fifteen years ago he started collecting videotapes of the original broadcasts of NASL games. Brett now has over 350 tapes of NASL games, found on his website www.davebrett.com Here are Brett's Ten Favorite NASL Games
If you don't know much about the NASL, you should buy a copy of the Power of Heritage. Some of the NASL Games Brett has recorded will be seen in the Documentary.
Photo's taken at the 35th Year Reunion of the NASL San Jose Earthquakes entrance into the community of San Jose soccer. Players, staff and fans remember the camaraderie and the brotherhood the team displayed on the field and took with them from the stadium and into the community. Enjoy the photos and hopefully another great steward of the game besides Ron Gilmore can create the same event for the groups of Western Soccer Alliance and Major League Soccer staff and players of the San Jose Earthquakes.
