The Pride return to Santa Clara's Buckshaw stadium for the last time this season having suffered a 2-0 loss during their mid-week competition against third place Sky Blue FC.   Local Soccer Scene fans are wanting to end the season the way it began for the inaugural Women's Professional league in the US at Buckshaw, a win!  2010 are you in?  Starting lineup below

Hot August Sunday afternoon on the Local Soccer Scene.  If you survived the parking lot at Candlestick and were able to get to the last game of the season for the FC Gold Pride you are one dedicated Local Soccer Scene enthusiast.  If you didn't, shame on you for not supporting the levels of soccer that really matter!

What you missed was a game where both teams knew their fate for post season play in this first run of Women's Professional Soccer in the US since WUSA. Yes the Pride are not in the playoffs this time but watching the determination of the team to not give up and give their all until the final whistle is what you've missed.

2010 will be here again with the FC Gold Pride, the promotion asks 2010 Are You In?

The team will improve and give every player from club level to University level a chance to play professional soccer in the US.  Local Soccer Scene will be there in 2010 and hopefully the future players of all the Youth Programs that produce women soccer players will be there as well.  Here is to 2010 for more from the FC Gold Pride and women's soccer in the Local Soccer Scene.
