Athletic Skills For Soccer
From The Desk Of:

Dear Soccer Parent,
know your frustration. You watch your child play soccer and you feel there’s something missing. Maybe it’s coordination, Maybe it’s conditioning, perhaps it’s a lack of speed or strength. You watch them run to the ball but they get there a fraction late. Another child gets there first. You see them kick the ball but there’s just not much power on it and think they should be able to kick it farther.
Attention Concerned Soccer Parents...
“If you’re a soccer parent who wants to develop the best skills and conditioning in your child, Then you need to read on…”
You think, “There Must Be Something I Can Do!”
I’ve got news for you. It’s not your fault, and it’s not their fault.
There are 3 critical obstacles that threaten your child’s soccer success...
TV, computers and video games have replaced tag, sandlot baseball, hide and seek, and mud football as daily recreational activities. Kids don’t get outside and play like before TV screens and computer monitors became a daily entertainment staple in their lives.

School PE programs have been cut, reduced or are just plain poor. There is little to no teaching of athletic skills to kids in school. Even if the teachers knew proper exercise routines, it’s almost impossible with classes of forty or more to give your child the individual attention they crave.
Kids who are overweight, they have a couple of strikes against them already. Their muscles, bones, tendons and nervous system are under developed and don’t function well. This makes performing at their best impossible.
Don’t despair, There IS a solution.
